How a medicine works?

How does a drug travel in the body and arrive at the sick place to become effective in curing the symptom. Let's check out this process.

Internally used drug ; Drugs that we take through our mouth
Most of the drug that we take through our mouth, dissolves in the stomach, absorbed in the duodenum and small intestine, and is taken to the liver. A part of the drug is metabolized or split up, the rest is taken up into the blood and flows into the blood stream to go all over our body and becomes effective in various parts and more especially the sick part of our body. After that, the drug still goes to various parts of our body and returns to the liver to get further metabolized or split apart and that goes to our kidneys and gets neutralized and most of it gets eliminated or leaves our body as urine through our urinary tract.
