Try to avoid places that have high temperature, humidity, and direct sun light when storing your medicine. You should choose a dark and cool place. For liquids like syrups it is advisable to store in the refrigerator.

Keep medicines out of the reach of small children to avoid accidental use by them.

Keep the boxes, packages, or any inserts explaining the use of medicine until you completely use up the medicine.

Once a year clean up your medicine chest and check each medicine's expiration date. Be especially careful with medicines opened up to the air. It is useful to write the date you opened up the medicine on the box itself.

For discarding the contents of aerosols and other sprays stay away from ignitable products and it's good to do it outdoors where there are no flammable substances. There is a recycle seal on the containers and boxes of medicines. Please follow the written instructions where it's marked paper or plastic and discard them accordingly.
