World Self-Medication Industry

14th General Assembly &

5th Asia Pacific Regional Conference

November 12-16,2002

Hotel Nikko Tokyo,Japan

GREETINGS
The WSMI 14th General Assembly (GA) and 5th Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC), the very first in the 21st century, which it is a great honour for PAJ to host, are just around the corner.

Everywhere throughout the world, both developed and developing, self-medication has been and will be playing an important role in helping the governments build a responsible healthcare framework within which they establish and structure national drug policies to best serve and promote public health.
As this announcement speaks louder than my greetings, GA and APRC seek to provide a grand conference venue for major stakeholders to discuss the oppor-tunities and challenges of self-medication from various angles - regionally, nationally, and globally.

The Social Programme in addition to the Business Programme will entice you (not just your fancy), naturally producing an atmosphere where you would feel like meeting and shaking hands with all the participants.

I do look forward to seeing you soon in Tokyo !
Hachizaemon KAZAMA
Chairman
Proprietary Association of Japan
